My stylist says that my hair has been underprocessed and that I need to let her give me a good Mizani relaxer. I relaxed on 8/2/06 and she wants to re-relax in the next week or so. What do you ladies think?
(I relaxed with Profectiv Theraputic, but it was burning my scalp so much I washed it out after 15 minutes.) ------------- http://www.TickerFactory.com/">

I would wait the normal 6-8 weeks because doing a relaxer that close with definitely kill the hair. One thing I used during the first part of my transition was soft and beautiful extend a perm. Not it helps in straightening your new growth without applying the relaxer to the new growth. It uses shampoo, conditioner, and a thermal protectant; three steps. I used it, it worked ok with a flat iron, but I know it works its best with a hot comb. I'm no stylist but experience has taught me that it would be a bad idea #1 to process again in such a short space of time and #2 to change the relaxer that you used initially.
If you want dry brittle and lifeless hair that will do it. everyone is different and maybe it may not hurt, but i say wait.
She should have salon products to give you to help you while you wait the recommended time frame before processing again.
