I tryed bleaching my own hair over the weeend and I was left with hair that was breaking off in clumps.  To make matters worse I just regained 5-6 inches after losing all of my hair a year and a half ago due to illness.  Guess my hair was to fragile to handle all of the bleaching and rebleaching I did.

Now I need to repair, I did a biolusture treatment on tuesday - some results.  Meet with a master colorist yesterday he put on a mild golden blonde (no perxiode I persume) to tone down all of the platnium.

Problem is I want to go back to a number 4(g). I spoke to a rep at Robert Craig yesterday they told me nothing could help me, basically my hair will just continue to fall off - I cant be bald again.  Please help me.  They said I have damaged the inner structure of my hair and NO color will take or the results would be horrible.

I have been spending all day doing internet searches, what about Goldwell Colorance using the system precolor and cutting the perxiode down (Not sure how to do this - any advise)

What other products can I use to get my hair in better condition? I have trimmed off the ends (whats left of them) and I have had treatments in my hair non stop since sunday.  Lucklily I work from home.

Sorry for the long post, I am so upset.  I dont want to go into hiding for another year, wearing wigs.  I just cant do it again.

Which is worse ,being bald or being blond ? because sadly that's your choice and no Goldwell or any other product other than a deep conditioning treatment should go near your hair for sometime.I don't understand how you can be even considering trying the Goldwell after the advice from the rep at Robert Craig.
I'm really sorry this happened to you ,it must be horrible to see your hair come out but please please just look after the hair your left with.In it's present state any colour you added would just wash out anyway.

What products would you suggest using? how often can you use biolustre? what is the best moisturizing conditioner?

If you check out the "bloopers" forum you'll find lots of suggestions for help with this as sadly your not alone in over processing with home stuff.
On the first page you'll find "Warning7+bleaching" and further down in "help I ruined my hair"you'll find some great recommends for reconstructant treatments and conditioners from a lady who had similar problems.
They'll know better than I would what works in these circomestances as they've lived through them.
Good Luck.

I like Kerastaste Hair Masks a lot (I have the "green" and "orange" ones), and Joico K-PAK Reconstructor. You should buy protein and moisturizing conditioners -- I don't know that it really matters which brands you buy, or whether they are salon or drugstore products, as long as they are "deep" conditioners (anything other than a daily conditoner).

VERY IMPORTANT: You need to give it TIME. Improvement will not be seen instantly. Of course, you know that you are not truely REPAIRING the hair but you are making it APPEAR more healthy and preventing further damage/breakage. I would do your treatments about twice a week or weekly. And I would suggest you go to a salon for CONSULTATIONS before you do anything else. If you're unhappy with the color you've got right now, I'm sure there's SOMETHING that can be done, but have it done professionally. I would never mess with bleach myself.

GO to sallys beauty supply and buy Keraphix by Nexxus. It will put back the protien u lost when u bleached it. Shampoo ur hair, rinse. put the keraphix on for 5 mins, rinse, then put conditioner on and rinse. The first day u buy it(it will be 18$) go home and wet ur hair with warm water and put it on then put a plastic cap over it. Leave it on for 45 mins then rinse and use conditioner. I did the same thing with my hair u need to put back the protien before u color it. Alot of stylist don't know what to do because what has happened to u and me is not seen alot. oh and if u can buy some paul mitchell super strong shampoo and conditioner. that will help too.

IF YOU GO TO SALLY'S BEAUTY SUPPLY STORE,YOU WILL FIND SOMETHING CALLED A PROTEIN FILLER. THIS IS A WONDERFUL THING AND I THINK ALL HAIRDRESSERS SHOULD USE IT AND IT SHOULD BE SOLD WITH ALL HAIR DYE. YOU CAN USE IT WHEN HAIR IS COLORED OR BY ITSELF AS A RECONSTUCTOR. IT WILL FILL IN THE HOLES IN YOUR HAIR CREATED BY DAMAGE AND HELP KEEP IT FROM BREAKING OFF. PROBABLY DILUTE IT WITH WATER AND LEAVE ON ABOUT 15-20 MINUTES A DAY.
ALSO,NEXUS EMERGENCEE IS GREAT TOO,IT'S LIKE 15 DOLLARS FOR A LITTLE TINY BOTTLE,BUT IT'S WORTH IT. YOUR HAIR IS NOT A LOSS CAUSE!!! MY HAIR HAS BEEN DAMAGED SO BADLY BEFORE AND I RECOVERED,SO CAN YOU. NEVER LET HAIR DRESSERS MAKE YOU FEEL BAD. THEY ALL TOLD ME THERE WAS NO HOPE FOR MY HAIR EITHER AND NOW IT LOOKS PRETTY GOOD!
