I think Hawg's advice is a great one! I would approach it that way. Me, personally, heck no. I would never tell anyone to do what they wanted with my hair. Hair is way too personal, and what the other person thinks is a great cut, could be something you personally dispice.
My youngest sister has a stylist that she just loves. Still, my sister has a very strong personality (she takes after me lol) so she is very specific about what she wants and how she wants it, when she is giving her hair stylist instructions. Is actually funny to watch, cause she was in the army and it looks like she explaining orders to her troops LOL. She loves her stylist and won't go to anyone else.
Well my other sister (I have 3, this is the one that is right in between me and my youngest sister) decides she wants to go get a hair cut with my sister's stylist. She figured, if my sister likes her so much, and she is so pickie and demanding, there is no way she can go wrong. Well, she decides to tell the stylist how my little sister thinks she is the best stylist in the world, and she has seen the great work she does on my sister's hair. Then basically told her to do whatever she wanted with her hair. The results... Well lets just say she still cries and me and my sister still laugh about it. The stylist got a big head from all the compliments and started chopping away. The style was totally wrong for her hair. Thank God the style was mid lenght and she could still tie it back.
She grew out the cut already. But the point is you can't be that trusting when it comes to your most important accesory.
Personally I like to be to much in control to give someone else that much power.
