i've seen alot of people have amazing reslults by straightening their natural hair. But whenever i try to by hair looks really big and isn't very straight at all. What steps do you all do to get your hair super straight.

When I was natural, I used a ceramic (plated) 1" flat iron. Basically I used shampoos and conditioner used to make the hair flat (i.e. smoothing). Then I use a heat protectant like Redken Heat Glide and use the lowest temperature, I flat iron small sections of my hair. It takes me a while but my hair gets straight. I hope this helps.

Maxiglide is my savior for straightening natural hair. My hair gets straighter than a relaxer with just one swipe of the iron. I air-dry in braids and then flat iron in small sections using a heat protectant.

I'm having that same problem but I think it's the humidity. Because each section that I straighten is really shiny and straight but about 15 minutes later it's really poufy.

I usually press my hair 1st and then go over it using a ceramic flat iron. And I dont use any heat protectants on my hair and my hair comes out shiny and straight

I always clarify first. That seems to make a BIG difference. And I also you Fantasia Frizz Buster Straightening Gel. A ceramic iron works best for me too.
