I am so afraid to tell my hairdresser that I messed my hair extensions up in one day.  I saw one of the tracks showing and tried to fix it myself(disaster)!  What was I thinking?  My husband tried to help me fix it and I'm just going to have to call her.  Will she be mad or glad that she can make more money?

lol glad she can make more money! j/k depends on what shes like as a person i suppose. If it was her mistake to begin with and u were trying to correct something she had done wrong, then if i were her i would fix what you have farked up for free (so long as it wasnt several hours worth of work). But yeah, ideally you should have called her and told her before attempting to tackle them yourself (then again i probably would have done the same thing!!). Goodluck either way =)

I get a little irritated when clients do stuff that messes up their extensions, but that's because I usually don't charge to fix what they did, although I should charge something for my time.  I suppose if I did charge to fix the problem, I wouldn't be irked by having to redo something.

Anyway, don't be afraid to talk to your hairdresser.  Just chalk it up to experience.  I'm sure you'll never do it again!

I had a client last week that had a pool party and did not wash, condition, and detangle her extensions until the next day.  Too much beer was her excuse.  Anyway, she had her hair in a tight bun and by the next day it was the hardest, firmly packed matt ball that I have ever seen!  I had to take about 3/4 of her extensions out since they were tangled in this huge mat.  I spent about 1.5 hours removing the matted hair and putting in a few more extensions to make her at least look decent.  I did not charge her anything.  I usually give my clients a one time 'freebie', in case something like this happens.    Good customer service.

I'm sure your hairdresser will understand, I'd probably laugh and you and tell you to come on in and not charge you but ask for a bottle of red he he x
