I've been seeing a few places offer this service. Does anyone offer this service. I think Cybermane offers it, but I don't know if she will distribute that information.

I received an info packet about this method. It's though the company called International Hairgoods in Minnesota. I went out there about 10 years ago to take a hair piece class from them.
Basically you have to fill out a lengthy application and apply for a territory. (If a territory is even available in your area. If someone else in your area already does it, they won't grant you a territory) They even want you to write a statement as to why you deserve a territory and they want photos of your salon.
If they do approve you, than there's a sales quota that must be met each month or else you will lose your territory. The amount of the quota is different for different geographical areas. In my area I think they wanted me to sell $700 per month.
They sent me a video of the application and a few samples of the micropoint extensions. It's thermofibre, but very nice and looks and feels like human hair. The links are sillicone lined, they are silver in color, and they are very tiny. The link is already attached to the hair and you pull the client's hair through and crimp down. Unfortunately they can't be reused.
I forgot the pricing of the links, Charlene told me a while back when I was asking her about it, but from what I remember I thought the price was high for something that you can't reuse.
I never did turn in the application. I might still look into it because if you are given a territory than you have the exclusive selling rights to some other of their products, that are good products. It did seem like kind of a lot of hassle to deal with. metalgirl thanks for your information. I just looked in my state, Texas, and I am in the middle of big cities. Houston, Austin, Dallas and San Antonio. I saw three places in Houston considering how big the cit actually is. I don't like the sales quota thing. It does get slow certain times of the year. Now Melinda from Phathair gave me an email to a lady named Jen. I will keep you posted on whether or not I get a "territory". You are so knowledgeable, with all the extensions you do, how do you research to. You are good, I'm going to be like you when I grow up..

I finally found it!
I got this client asking me for thermofibre attached using beads and she saw it on my site. I did not know what she was talking about. She kept saying "thermofibre" tiny strands, lightweight, etc... and she heard about it hear here. Now everything is clear after reading this thread. Okay, Cyberhair is a different company and so is Thermofibre. Please do not confuse the two. Don't ask me their differences because I don't make the hair. I only carry and install them. I do not know of Thermofibre being attached similarly like Micro Point Accents. Some clients reuse them, but most clients do not prefer to. It's entirely all preference. Shiry, were you able to get the exclusive info? Metal, I know a dealer who has not done much with it but still has the territory. Part of the reason, is because that person does not understand it too much. If they understand it, the better they can educate their clients. I do have to say that in comparison to the many other extensions I have tried out there, and you know I have tried a lot, this is the only one, that I carry today, that is healthiest for the hair. The overall appearance of the natural hair improves and my before and after pictures taken over 12 months are incredible. I have even attached it to the baby hairs in the front close to the hair line with no problem. I've even created new bangs. I have done that before with keratin human hair extensions but the longevity is less than a month and the hair lays flat. It does not spread out like the accents. I'm sure this has to do with the natural hair being in the center of the accents as oppose to mingling together suspended from the keratin. The only worst case senario is frizzing. But well maintained cyberhair will never frizz. My one client had her's in for longer than the recommended {she wants to keep it in that long} and it still looks fresh, that she wants them reused. If the sterling silver beads are shot, then we toss them. Another client reported that she uses a low heat setting to achieve curls and she might even use her finger to twirl a curl and she said that the curls lasts her for 2 days. Another client had trouble frizzing hers {part of the reason was that she kept abusing her own hair everyday with heat and hairspray}. She refused to try other methods cause she just feels that this is better for the health of her hair long term. After consulting with my other clients, she's doing much better now and also reported that her natural hair is thicker. Overall my clients' positive experiences and testimonials have helped me retain my exclusive territory. I owe it all to them. And you know me, Metal, if the hair su*ks, then I won't waste my time. With this, so far, so good. Metal and Shiry, just remember all clients are different. Some may love this and some won't. Your best clients for this method are the ones who have very thin hair, damaged hair, or are concerned about the health of their hair. Hello Cybermane, and I love your updated site. I truly look up to you ladies, You and Metalgirl. Okay, i did recieve my information from Micropoint. No representative has called me back. Before I was going to send back all my information I emailed the rep to make sure I wasn't invading on territories. I saw only surrounding areas that were about 21/2-4 hours away from me that offered MP. I still got no response, the customer service really sucks. i will try and email again and see if I get a response. i am so happy for your outcome with your clients cybermane. And you are right all clients are different. Oh yeah Metalgirl, i was finally able to purchase a small ad in the yellow pages. I pay under $50 a month for a small banner ad. The book comes out in March '07.
Trying to market extensions in this area is somewhat discouraging because Texas is always the last to proceed into different things. I won't accept it, I'm striving towards my success in my business.

The customer service does not suck. Here is my experience:
I applied for another territory myself. But unfortunately have given up hope after almost 1 year wait. There are dealers that have exclusive and they choose not to be listed.
But keep trying other techniques, cause you may be surprised!
