Yeah cuz dry hair is not good but it depends on your texture. Mixed textures or not so course textures can just use water as a moisturizer.

You need moister in your hair unless you want a dry scalp which leads to dandruff... I use to have a dandruff problem until i wanted to get waves.... You could always use water.. But water doesnt keep ur scalp moisterised longer than say carrot cream or pink lotion...
