But after the last time I had it bleached im afraid of it falling out!
Ive had it highlighted bleached 3 times now its a nice golden light brown with the blonde running through, I normally have the bleach on 20 mins but last time a different hairdresser did it and left it for 30 and it went all ghewing gum like and lots off it did fall/snap out after taking care of it alot more since its getting back to normal, My moms looked at it and she said its only really damanged on the top layer of my hair at the back..
But is it safe to actually go blonde and take more bleach or not?

I used to have dyed black hair so its done well to get it this light over time, my natural color is apparently darkest blonde but i want that bleach blonde look, im just scared of it being more damaged and having to go really short!

The post below has a link to the pic of my hair color now

Why don't you just use a 30-volume devoper to try to go blonde instead of bleach?  Just a suggestion.  I'm not an expert, but I've read that 30-vol. developers are good to life 2-3 levels w/o having to use bleach.

would that be safer? Without the damage to my hair and making it dry out and snap?

Yes.

Bleach is definitely harder on your hair.  Or you could do a hi-lift blonde, which is like 40-vol. developer (I think - pro's step in here if I'm wrong!).  It's more harsh than your standard 20-vol. (think boxed hair color), but it will lift more.  If you're darkest blond and you want to be bleach blond you will have to do a minimum of a hi-lift blond.  a 30-vol. would only lift you to about a light/medium blonde (2-3 levels).

First of all when was the last time you had your hair treated with bleach? and if that was the time your hair turned chewing gum like, that means you had severe damage to your hair. I'm surprise you didn't have to chop it all off. Unless you have grown all that hair out and cut it off (which would take you 2 to 3 years) then your hair is still damaged. Even if it looks good. You see, after hair is damged there is no way to repair it. But you can re-condition it and buffer the damage, to make your hair look healthy and pretty until you grow out the damage. So If I were you, I would not mess with lightening my hair for a while. The same thing happened to my sister. She didn't listened and ended up having to get a pixie cut, which was a bitch to grow out.

If you are still set on doing it, I would go with Jentaking's advice and use developer instead of bleach. Becuase I can almost asure you bleach will kill your hair.
Anyway, is fall now. Take advantage of the season and go with a darker shade. That really light blond is kind of out of style and looks better during summer time. Of course that's just my opinion, and no offense is intended. If that is the color you want then that is the color you want, no matter what the season or trend is. I would just hate to see that beautifull head of hair getting chopped off.

my last bleaching was the begining of august which the hairdresser messed up making it chewing gum like and she did get a telling off for by the boss, it is still damaged but not like it was at all! its more soft but like ya say the damage will still be there,

I dont want more bleach on at all but is there any other way of getting myself a lighter color, any dyes that would color, i may even try single extensions for a streaked look

I think going with the single extensions is the best Idea. Eventhough it may not look like it to you, your hair is very damaged right now. Like I said, I wouldn't color it at all at this point. I know you want a new look but with the degree of damage to your hair, coloring it might mean destroying it. I would personally forget about color right now and just concentrate on protein treatments and deep conditioning. Unless you are willing to take the chance of having to get a pixie cut.

Yeah, that shouldn't be a problem. Just condition your hair alot before you go for the root touch up, to protected from the overlap when the chemicals are being applied to your hair.

If your hair was colored very dark before and now it is blonde, it took a lot of chemicals to make it that way.
You cannot just put color in, and take it out whenever you please.
A good colorist will take the time to highlight the same pieces during a highlight.
When someone says to use developer instead of bleach, this is wrong, because developer is mixed with bleach.
Hi lift blondes are generally mixed with 40 volume developer, and is really not much easier on the hair. There are better quality bleaches to use. The cheaper ones are more damaging.
If the damage is just on top and in the back, that is pretty good. Just keep conditioning it, and get regular trims, until the old hair is eventually cut off.
Then... you should be able to get very light without using bleach.
It is was probably a combination of previous color, inexperience, and harsher than needed products.

The first mistake was probably made when bleach was applied to the previously colored hair to get it lighter. There are products that are designed to remove artificial pigment, and should be used for that. Bleach is designed to be used to remove natural pigment.
