| well, summer's ending and lately i've been getting handfuls of hair when i'm in the shower. not the normal, strong hairs, but the really fine and silky ones. i've been really gentle with it, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. is it normal to shed at the end of the summer? this isn't the first time it's happened to me, by the way. |

| When you say it's happened before, do you mean at the end of summer time, or has it happen on different occasions; or may be I should say seasons? And do you do anything different during the summer? Like go to the pool or beach alot etc.? |

I meant that I've been shedding at the end of the summer in the past few years... and I don't go swimming or to the beach that often... especially not in late summer |

| Well, I guess it could be possible for it to be a seasonal thing for you. My sister's hair used to shedd alot during winter when we used to live in NJ. Also during the summer our hair goes through alot of stress. The super hot sun and humidity are brutal on the hair. We also tend to tie up our hair alot more, which causes extra shedding even if you are gentle. And even if don't swim alot, if the few times you do, you did not wet your hair first and used some kind of protecting conditioner or lotion it will affect the hair, and cause breakage or extra shedding. If it is only an end of summer thing, I wouldn't worry about it. |
