They are both very nice cuts. However I think the first one kind of aged the girl (IMO) After the cut she seemed to look older to me. I do think is a nice cut, just didn't like it on her.
 
The second girl, eventhough the cut is totally not my style and would never get it, looks young and hip after the cut. She actually looks refreshed. It was a nice change. And I'm sure if she was to style it different, say, may be blow dry it downward, nice and smooth, she would get a totally diffenrent look, and it would still look very nice. So I like the versatility that the second cut would give you. That is the good thing about short cuts, that still give you some lenght. You don't have to get stuck with same hair do all the time. You can style it differently and get the most out of the cut.

I don't think the first one looks older; I do think she looks much better.  Her "before" hair looked to be fried.
 
The second cut is okay; a bit too "flippy" for me.  I generally prefer cleaner/smarter looking styles.

Well, I have to agree that on the first picture her long hair did look fried and in desperate need of attention. But for some reason she just looks older to me with the short hair. Well, I guess is just me. She is a very pretty girl though, so she can get away with it.
 
I also agree that the second cut is too flippy,(and kind of teenie bopper type of thing) that's why I said on the post above that the cut is not my style and would never get it myself. So I totally understand when you say you prefer smarter looking styles. I'm totally with you there.  But it does make her look younger. I guess anything would have comapared to that shapeless mop she had. I personally preffer shaved layared bobs. I think she would have looked better with something like that instead.

What a waste of beautiful hair. The blonde's new style is so plain it's ridiculous. All the choices she had for a haircut and she went with that one? At least the second one has some style.

I've actually worn my hair like the girl in the second pic. Its a fun style to wear.
 
I don't much care for the blondes makeover. It just doesn't interest me.

The short hair length of the blonde could look good on her if it was styled differently. I agree it is a plain short hairstyle.

The brunette had such beautiful long hair. Her style is ok, but she would actually look better in bob cut.
It seems she kept her hair that was cut. It is beautiful hair, she could have a gorgeous shoulder length wig made out of it.
