Hi everyone!!!  I am trying to find out some info from the pros here to help me make decisions on what extensions to get.

I have only had human hair clip ins.

Originally I wanted to know what the difference was between fusions, and bonding methods.  And if these are even the best way to go?

But now I am hearing about shrinkies?

I just need a little guidance, if anyone is willing to answer a few questions.  Promise I'll keep it short and sweet.

Thanks!

There are a lot of people who really like shrinkies. Are you getting them done professionally? I wouldn't recomend doing that on your own, it's too hard to see the back of your head and you need to be neat with parting etc.

If you're doing it yourself at home, you might want to consider protac. It's like installing clip ins but with tape and you obviously don't take them out at night. It's easy to install and cheaper than going to the salon.

Last time i had my hair done, i had the shrinkies installed and I really rate them, I think they 're great.  Recently I installed protac, just because I was going out at the weekend and there was noooo way I would go out without my extensions!! Anyway I think that the protac is really good too.  Just play about with you're hair and you'll find what suits you best.

I didn't care much for shrikies either, but I think that's because I install them well. I use microlinks, and I LOVE them, plus, I think they are pretty easy to install! Protac is really nice, and super easy.

I would say, don't be afraid to try different methods, and see what you like. Everyone is different.

What I used to do to test stuff out was just install a little bit and cut the hair to my normal hair length and wear it for a few days and take it out, just to make sure I could do and like everything before I do a full head....Goodluck, it's a fun thing, have fun with it!

NakedEye, you install the microlinks on your own hair? With plyers? How in the world do you do that?

edit: is this the individual method or microlinks on a weft?

hello, I am new here.  I have a question.  We use shrinkies, hairlocs and tressalure.  Protac sounds like tressalure.  I was wondering where I could find out about the protac system and what kind of hair do you use with it?   And can you reuse the hair??
 Thanks, Maura

yes protac is similar to the tressalure system. But the protac is puchased seperately from the hair. You can purchase whatever hair you wish and reuse it over and over if its high quality hair.

Here is a demo I did on the pro-tac
