Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum.  My question is my hair is very sensitive to harsh perms I was wondering, can someone tell me a very good mild perm for my hair.  The mildest perm they make out there.  (I have thick course hair).  Thanks.

I am not a pro so have not tried all the different kinds of perms there are, maybe a pro would have tried more and have a better idea.  But as for ones I've had done, or done on myself, I have never found a perm that doesn't do a goodly amount of damage.  I'm not sure there's really one out there that is not damaging.

I'm surprized people still get perms. The last one I had was like,10 years ago.The lady told me it was a new kind that barely did any damage, perfect for someone like me with color treated hair. After she gave it to me? If I even touched my hair it was breaking off.Out of desperation,I cut it pretty short...but it still took a good year for it to recover.
My mom used to have perms all the time, and it ruined her hair too.
