Please help me. I have dark black hair from dye. I went to have blonde streaks put in and the colorist put a lift on first. Afterwards, the hair had lifted to a pretty honey blonde. Now it is turning brassy gold. IHATEIT! can i put an at home dye over this? Wouldn't it just make darker highlights? Please help ------------- Missmel |

You need an ash based toner. You can get one at any beauty supply. Or, you can try blue/violet based colored shampoo. -------------

thanks for the advice. I picked up the shampoo from a stylist that is a client of mine(i'm a dog groomer). IT's biolage violet based hair shampoo. she said use about twice a week. If you have anymore advice, let me know. ------------- Missmel |

Hi it's me again. Well here is the deal. I really don't care for the streaked hair and want my hair darker again. I'd rather not spend another 80.00 at the salon to do this, so i'm thinking just a store bought box dye. The problem is what color, could I do dark brown instead of black so that i still have darker highlights? And, do I need to worry about base colors since the hair is just lifted and not colored?
