I just had my hair colored twice (once red and once brown) to get it to this light reddish brown color I have (it used to be light blond for 4 years) I'm worried about the color fading fast cuz it used to be so light, and I really like the red in it though. I want to try a red enhancing shampoo, but my sister said a long time ago red shampoos made her hair pink. Can this happen or not? If I can use it what does anyone reccoemend?

When I had Red hair my Hairdresser gave me some of the haircolor and I would mix it with my shampoo and use it. I believe it was 1 part haircolor and 4 parts shampoo. The shampoo's they have on the market right now never did to much for me but Artec was one of the better one's.

Thank you,I have ordered some! can I ask you...I have heard that if you're trying to go darker/redder,permanate colors have ammonia and perioxide in them which lightens before it darkens....and that a good way to go darker is to use semi-permante. (which I have little info on) cuz it simply deposits color. Should I use one to keep my color from fading? If so,what's a good one for light brown with ALOT of red in it?

Redkens EQ is the best semi-permanent color. They also have permanent ones. Their colors are not only beautifull, but are so good they make your hair feel like silk. That's why it is reffered to as "the color that thinks like a conditioner". You can get it them on e-bay at a really good price. They also have the color shampoos from the same line, and according to the people that use them, they are fab, specially the red one, so I would look into it. You can find reviews on it at Makeupalley.com.

Much love, Shary

I use Colormesexy Cool Red shampoo, from Ulta, it is from the Big Sexy Hair line. I mix it in with my Paul Mitchell conditioner and let it set for about 10 mintues. It keeps my hair pretty red. But, glad the Artec works for you.
