Please beaware of products you buy on auction sites. I just bought some Aveda products from a well known auction website, well I received them Yesterday and they had been replaced with other products in the container I can not believe what people will do to make money. From now on I will only purchase from the store or there website. Has this happend to anyone else? If so I feel for you.

No thank God. I have bought many things on ebay and always got the real product. I always pay with Paypal because if I ever happen to get a "fake", all you have to do is report it and you can get your money back. What website did you get the product from? I would contact the seller and request a refund, and of course leave very bad feedback for the seller, so others would be aware and won't buy from them.

I was not for sure if you could use the name without getting in trouble but yes it was e- bay and it was Aveda products I called my credit card company today so it is being taken care of and I did pay with Paypal so I could do a charge back. I would just like for the people to know that this can be done and even though they have a very high rating I guess that makes them no better than a zero.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I buy a ton of hair stuff on e-bay except Aveda products because the ones sold there are usually fake. Aveda has a very tight control on their products and doesn't just sell them to anybody. So they don't sell their stuff to like liquidators that could then sell them to e-bay sellers. So most likely if is from a seller that has many Aveda products as oppose to someone who is just selling one product becuase they maybe tried it and didn't like it, is usually fake. But as 222chik said, don't loose faith on e-bay. I myself am an ebay seller and all my stuff is original and brand new. I would never decieve a customer. However not every seller is as honest. Make sure to leave a feedback stating the product was fake so everyone is aware. And good for you for getting your money back.

I know Aveda is product you only get from Aveda or one of their Salon's but at CVS Pharmacy they are selling it there, I live in Tampa, FL and at CVS it is being sold.

Are you serious? I live in Miami, and I keep having to go to the falls or Coconut Grove to the Aveda stores because I can't find them anywhere. I have like 3 CVS stores in my area, one of wich is about a block away. I'm going there first thing tomorrow to check it out. May be the CVS's in Miami are still not carrying it. I hope that's what it is, otherwise I'm going to be really mad that I drove like 10 miles for a product I could get around the corner LOL. I only use one of their products, which lasts forever, the Pure Fume anit-humectant pomade. I mean, it literally lasts me like a year. But it would be nice to know that if I ran out, mine got lost or something, I wouldn't have to go that far to get it.

I go To Amazon, that's not considered an auction site is it? Because you just buy the product, not bid for it.I have never had a problem with Amazon by the way.

do not buy any products exclusivly sold in salons at a drugstore. most of that product is garbage picked and watered down and it is sold illegally. there was a big deal about those products being sold illegally up in Michigan a few years back
~the drugstores also jack up the prices something fierce

I buy nexxus diametress at cvs or walmart...how can it be illegal if big companies like these are selling them?

Nexxus is no longer a salon only product. I believe they are now under the Alberto Culver corp which owns several chain store brands like Alberto VO5.

Thats awfull! I always worried though when buying off auction sites that what I bought was actually that product! Didnt want my hair falling out! Thank god I aint had that problem and the sellers I bought my stuff from was pretty genuine so I know who to buy from. Check their feedback to see who else they have done it to maybe?

I haven't had that happen yet but I don't buy "authentic" perfumes from kiosks for just that reason.
