Hi Ladies,

I am getting GL extensions tomorrow and I am unsure how much I am supposed to tip my stylist.  I don't want to tip on the cost of the hair, just on the service shes providing me. Is that wrong?  Do I tip on the total cost of the service?  What have your experiences been? Please advise, I certainly don't want to cheat her out of what shes entitled to, but I also don't want to overtip!

Thanks!

i think you should only tip on the service not the hair! i charge 1300 for a full head of gl and when i get 100.00 tip i am super happy. you are already paying so much, your stylist should not expect 20 percent on 1500.00 that would be crazy. i pm you more. hope this helps!

I just got mine in on Tuesday.  I gave her $75, I used to give her $100 (my job is always $900) but this time i gave her $75.00.

tip what u feel led to tip- and dont feel obligated to tip either- sometimes i get $100-500 for a tip and sometimes i dont get anything, and either way- i feel great because i know the client leaves happy.
