I bought some of these at Sallys. I really like them, but they tend to be a little to shiny. This show the difference between my own hair and the extensions. Is there anything I can put on my own hair to make it more shiny, after I put in the extensions. I have heard about Pure Shine made by HASK, but was wondering if it really made your hair luminate with shine.

Have you ever tried a cellophane treatment?

I am not sure what that is. Could you tell me more?? I do put a temporary color glaze on my hair by Clairol in between regular colorings. But my own hair looks dull compared to the extensions. Thanks so much for your help

hi wvpumkin,

a clear tomer would be good like pm shines in clear(paul mitchell) but for a quick fix for now.. you can make the extensions less shiny by added some babypowder (if its dark hair use a dark powder there is someone on ebay who sells colored hair powder) dont use a lot just a luttle to "dull" it up a little bit. i hope this helps...
ps how about a shine spray on your natural hair to make it shiney rusk is reallu good(and smells like ck one i think) and for a drugstore pickup citra shine is really really great- mega shine from it!

What a helpful post. Thanks so much. Is the citre shine just a spray? Do you have to keep reapplying during the day? Also the baby powder trick is great. I have used it on my own hair when I was in a pinch, and my hair looked a little oily. Also what is the product called I need. I see they have shine spray, and laminating laquer spray. Which one??? The laquer is like a hold spray too I think, which I could use, if it would be shiny enough.

Barbielocs, the shine spray is a great idea. I forgot about that!! I have Samy's shine spray and it's really good. You have to be careful not to spray too much. I got it at target.

sorry i didnt respomd earlier i was to busy with "gene"....lol anyways the citrashine is a spray it come in an orange and black bottle. LOVE it it smells great too! i think you should us e the shine spray first... the laminating stuff is probally hairspray(not sure need to go to the store and check) you can use that on top if it is. i think spraying once a day is good.. too much and your hair will look oily or your extensions might slip... are these weft extension or fusion? spray on your hair only not near the extention bond or tracks... not sure how you installed
