Dear all my new friends especially barbielocs

After three whole days i managed to umatt my hair - i am having an early night to celebrate.  Thank you barbielocs, i got some 'smoothing creme serum' (never used it before - it worked very well with detangling conditioner etc.

Now that my hair is unmatter (hurrah), the scalp hurts a bit, what should i do now,  towel dry my hair, blowdry it?  What type of brush should i use?
Is their a product i can used to keep it lovely and soft and free from knots.

thank you dear friends, lots of love.  Ps tonight i have applied loads of conditioner to my hair and covered it with some cling film.  I will wash it out tomorrow (too tired today.)

best wishes

Remember to towel dry just blotting the water out, not shaking your hair or ruffluling it with the towel. That causes damage to the hair, and really roughs up the cutticle. And just like babycheek said, a wooden come, or a Mason Pearson come (wide tooth come) would be great. Yes, they are expensive but worth it. Regular cheap comes have those ridges inside the teeth that rip out the scales from your hair. Causing lots of damage and leaving your hair unable to hold on to conditioners, protein treatments, or hair color. Oh, and if you want to try another great detangling conditioner, Paul Mitchell's The Detangler is the bomb! There is no mess it can't detangle.

A great leave in is Sebastian Potion 9, or Salerm 21. Also Redken All soft hair addictive can be used as a leave in. Just spray it lightly, and it will give you the softest hair ever.

If you are going to blow dry get a round brush (preferable boar brissle brush).

Much love, Shary

dear friends

does that mean all the unmatting (with a knitting needle) have damaged my hair and it will not hold on to conditioners.  please allay my fears!!  also can you email me with websites so i can purchase products on line from the uk - i have at least seen redken products, i think!   Now that my hair is very stressed and tired after all that unmatting (i did say sorry to my hair!!!) - what should i do to keep it in top condition - eg a good trim, a night treatment to keep it moist it goes very dry at the tips usually.
thank you all dear friends once again for your lovely tips and suggestions much appreciated from a slightly sunday morning in london.
