Well, it didn't take Katie Couric long to get her first trim as an evening anchorette.

Yep... a trim... most women get them about every 8 weeks or so.  In her case maybe a big trim but still pretty much the same style don't you think?

Don't look like they took much off. Just getting rid of dead ends?

I like both about the same, think they're both OK, and both better than most of the recent styles she had on Today. Can't exactly put my finger on why, but I think it's because it doesn't look as heavy somehow. Maybe a few well-placed layers?

I think it's one of the better styles she's had. The cut was losing it's shape, the trip cleaned it up. Looks nice.

Ermm I was part of a captive audience in an ER on Tuesday, so I watched Katie for the first time in her anchor role. The haircut looked stiff, as did her performance. The extra few inches of hair had served her well, added a little allure to her appearance, but of course, female sensuality is seemingly eschewed in newsrooms across America. Bob

I did! And the angels wept with joy, and the trumpets proclaimed the majesty of the day.... too much?

Seriously, it's nice to see Ms. Couric glam herself up a bit for the occasion. She was the only woman at the event (Museum of Radio & TV) who did something special, and it made her stand out. And I hope, as opposed to her heartfelt but clunky attempts during her Today Show stint, that this effort shows Ms. Couric that she can wear curls and look hot!

I've actually noticed that she has continued making small style changes since she started at CBS, including going back to a left-side part the past couple of days. I figured she'd pick a style and lock it in, happy to see that's not the case so far.
