With a long face and thin hair you can try bangs that are heavily texturized and layered so that you can in essence feather them up to give a little height to the top of your face. A light teasing can work or you can use a blowdryer while the bangs are wet in combo with a good volumizing gel and direct the air flow from the root up to the ends for lift.
I use Matrix Amplify on my bangs when I want major volume. In all fairness I have thick, coarse and wavy hair so a little Amplify will really fatten my bangs.
Mary Hart often has the super texture look around her face. Probably to give it lift and this also helps freshen the look. You might try doing a search for her on the network websites. I wish I had a photo of her but I don`t. I am not sure if JerkyFlea has featured her lately but you can do a search on Hairboutique.com as well. Just type in Mary Hart in the Search box at the top right of the site and see if she is there. Who knows...we have over 1,500 pages of content now and anything is possible. :-)
Sorry to hear about the thinning. Layers help, color helps and Matrix Amplify is wonderful. Also, Edwin Paul`s Volume MIST, not the gel, is great for thinning at the top because the mist if very light and clings to the out cuticle and helps fatten it. I have a friend who swears by it. I love the Amplify for my bangs.
Have you looked through the HairBoutique.com Interactive Style Selector? We have 2,000 photos there and you can print out whatever you see and take to your stylist. You can select by face shape as well as hair length.
Let me know if I can help further.
Best wishes, Karen
