i just took out my d-lux (which i put in with shrinkies) and big gobs of glue from the tips are still left in my hair. this was my first shrinkie install and i think i did something wrong. Cry is it normal for so much glue to be left in my hair? will acetone get rid of it?

Yeah its normal for their to be glue after takedown.Especially if you didt coat the tips in nailglue. Some glues dont transfer as much as others.Like keratin tips didnt get nearly as much glue in my hair as did tips coated with liquid gold.

If you have any orange oil I would try that first. When I had globs of glue leftover I would coat my hair in oils and conditioner(all the things your supposed to avoid while your wearing them). Then I would let it sit for a few hours. After a bit it loosens up alot.It should get sticky and gummy. Then you can just pick it out.Good luckThumbs%20Up

I had an experience with a particularly "gooey" glue and the Liquid Gold remover was a lifesaver!

If you let it sit for a little bit, the glue practically dissolves on it's own.  Just try to be very patient & take your time getting the glue out.  Your hair will thank you.   Big%20smile

I also second the pre-tipping w/nail glue.  I've used it w/ LG tipped strands & was able to reuse the strands.
