Hi,

I'm new to hair extension's,  I had them put in my hair about two weeks ago, and today I had them taken out due to lice.
Is it possible that I got the lice from my hair extension's?
I'm very unhappy becauase I really loved my hair and spent about $700
dollars on them.
Not to mention the fact that I was very uncomfortable witht the fact that I had bugs in my hair.  Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Nope not from the extensions.. Not really possible since lice and their eggs can't live away from a host blood source for more than 24 hours.. So you were either exposed to the lice at the salon (because they had a client with 'em and did not properly clean their styling  implements) or you were exposed elsewhere.. You should first isolate the source, and if indeed it is the salon, you need to speak with them about compensation..

thanks for getting back to me so quickly, could you suggest where I could get my extensions done for about the same amount of money I spent the first time and how long do I have to wait, due to the lice situation.
I live in NYC, bronx
