well i am glad you guys know or i would have a useless clip sitting next to me... oh well. maybe if they made the top of the clip smaller. its a good concept (like lots of times with extensions) but need to be fiddled with more. anyone try the gl machine that is suppossed to a bunch of extensions at once. i kinda figured the same thing- (it would not be close enough)

Would this work if you took the end of a rat tail comb and pulled the section through the top of the clip???

OK so if anyone can follow my train of thought let me know what you think.  What if you took a piece of thin flexible plastic, I'm sure they have something that would work at the craft store.  For example cut it to the size of a blue protac strip.  then cut the square notches (it would look like a row of houses with space in between) out of the top of it like the clip has (slightly rounding the edges for comfort).  hot glue to clips to each underside.  This would allow you to go up all the way on the hair & protect the hair underneath but also go almost all the way around the head.  There would be no clip on the top but the squares could be pushed up high enough to keep the hair sectioned.  Any thoughts or is everyone confused at my McGuiver hair idea?

I tried one of those plastic holes in a strip with a clip on each end. Didn't work. Then I tried coming up with my own. What a bigger joke. I even tried the drywall hanger tape with the holes, a bathing suit cap, a cap with holes when you color your hair, I made my own template from material. That one in the picture looks good. Too bad it doesn't work. It isn't easy being inventive. The ideas sound so good, but it just does not work when you try it out for real.
