Hi. I have pretty thick wavyish hair. Its not overally wavy, it just tends to wave and curl all round the bottom but then the top 2 inches from the roots are almost straight. I'm looking for a new shorter style that i can wear curly or straight but with volume. I really love this stylle of christina applegate but i don't know if its possible with my hair. Will it completley "poof" out into a really huge do?

Here are some pics of me:

I think you could easily go with that cut.  Natural it should look like you have some very soft curls, while you could easily straighten it for a sleek look.  I say go for it.

Thanks for the advice. I have another question though. I currently have a tiny bit side parting. I can't have a full side parted fringe like i want because i have a "jumpy hairlin" so everytime the hairdresser pulls it over to snip it it just pings back or sticks straight up in the air. When i was younger i had a dead straight fringe along the brows and i really liked it. Now i think thats tyle of fringe is in fashion again. Thing is, my mum has this fringe (we have similar hair) and hers flicks out and really doesn't look good. Do you think i should just go for no fringe with this cut? I do love having a fringe though.

Oh sorry, i mean "bangs" :P

Your hair looks amazing now but I say go for it. I have thick thick hair with the exact same wave pattern as you and it didn't poof out at all when I went short in a similar style. Just don't let it grow out too long or it will start to poof as I've found out (unless your growing it out of course xD).
