Hey dawg, we almost the exact same mix. My dad is Filipino wit spanish and my mom is mulatto. What are the odds.
 I say u let your hair grow out for about 1 month while still brushin and wavecapin' consistantly and u should see some waves if your hair is as curly as u say it is. I was like you at first because i cut my hair too short but after like 2 weeks of consistant brushin and wavecappin', i started to see waves form as my hair grew longer.
just let your hair grow out to the point where it curls and brush it out.
Just remember, waves are just stretched out curls. So once u see the curls, stretch em' out wit a brush.

yeah.
When i rocked curls i usually had to put somethin in my hair like eco styler gel or cholesterol to activate my curls otherwise i just had a fro.
   Here's on of my earliest pics of when i first buzzed my hair. Look how straight it is.
 I think this kid can wave up easily if he lets his hair grow out. He just needs to stay consistant. -------------

Me and you have the same similar problem. When I brushed, it seemed as my hair was just straightening out. Yet if I go a couple of weeks without a haircut, my hair starts to curl. When my hair was long, it was curlier than when I just got the haircut. But since I'm growing my hair out it looks like I'm seeing results. I'm still trying to get waves, but I recommend. Pink lotion, Carrot cream, and S-Curl Jel Activator. The pink lotion will make your hair shiny, and sleek when it's short. But just brush it in. The S-Curl didn't help me AT ALL, until I started growing my hair out. But it only curls up on the lining. I have the type of hair that can get bangs, and curl up. Hope this helps. |
