Oh Boy. I bleached my dark brown roots and achieved a pretty decent light golden blonde. Too bad the rest of my hair is a bit darker blonde and less goldeny. I would like all of my hair to be the same color. How do I get a nice light natural blonde with light golden roots and the rest a medium blonde? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

before you colored your hair what color was your overall hair? Was it all virgin hair or what? Sounds like your roots got hot due to body heat and processed faster.....did you apply to roots first or to all your hair? Not sure of the correct answer aside from applying conditioner to the roots so that they won't process anymore and then applying the same stuff you used on your hair the first time to the midshaft and ends???

Hiya

Was your hair already dyed blonde first? i.e. only your roots where dark?

If so, it sounds like the bit that was already blonde got blonder because it was the second application.  When you re-applied the dye the dark roots obviously would be more of a yellow/golden colour because they havnt been dyed yet and they are so dark.

I applied the bleach only on my roots, which are dark brown. They are now a light buttery blonde and the rest of my hair is a medium less buttery blonde. I just want it all the same color.
