I recently stopped straightening my hair everyday (YAY), but my hair is frizzy and wavy/curly so I ended up buying products to help define the curls and control the frizz. Well everything that I have bought so far hasn't worked, so I have started blow-drying my hair straight to control it. But, I don't blowdry for more then 5 minutes since I let my hair airdry for awhile before I start. The whole reason i stopped straightening was because I had to cut an inch off my hair because of damage and I want to prevent this from happening again. Well i was wondering if blowdrying straight (for 5 minutes after airdrying) is worse than straightening (maybe taking me 30 minutes after airdrying) Thanks!

by strigtening, do you mean using one of those flat irons?  I would think using that would cause more damage.  Letting your hair air dry, then  only using the blowdryer for a short time seems like a good ritual.  I would also use something like Infusium 23 to help your hair.
I have also heard that to control frizz with curly/wavy you can curl your hair - seems like more work though.

i think its easier to control frizz then to straighten it and damage it every day curly hair is extremly dry you should be using moisturizing shampoos and conditioners Aussie makes some that are affordable, and to control the frizz use some jojoba oil on the hair while its wet just a little and scrunch it into the hair let it air dry that should do the trick. Also you can look into deva curl products Which are awesome!

Get an ionic blowdryer. They cost a bit more, but they really help cut back on the damage. Even less damaging then a flat iron too.
