This photo is taken Nov 1 2006

I received a new product of relaxer in my ethnic very thick hair about 2months ago. Went back for regular hair appointments every other week. It appeared very healthy and my hair was flowing everywhere....Now I am noticing my hair is slllloowwwly displacing itself, if I lift up my hair to be fixed into a ponytail, you'll see breakage.....I do know the first thing is to immediately stop using these products, but what is next?? However, when I do comb and style my hair in the morning, I hardly see any strands on the floor or sink. I DO believe my hair is falling out, but how, HOW CAN I STOP IT!!!???  Cry

Sounds like you need a heavy duty protein treatment followed by a moisturizing treatments daily. For the protein- i would reccommend using Jherri Redding's 100% natural protein conditioner( this is a liquid- mix 2 to 3 tablespoons in with your deep conditioner and do this every 4- 6 weeks) or you could use Lamaur's bone marrow weekly until you see improvement.  In terms of moisturizing treatments- i reccommend the baggie method. HTH.

Thanks so much!
I have been reading article after article trying to figure out what the problem is caused by, but maybe its just stress from my hair actually falling out and now knowing what to do.

What is the baggie method and where can I find Jherri Redding products?

The baggie method is basically spritzing your ends with a watery leave-in conditioner and then sealing with a natural oil (castor, grapeseed, sweet almond, etc.) and then applying a thin plastic cap on top overnite or during the daytime underneath a phonypony or phonybun.

The Jherri Rhedding product that i was reffering to can be purchased at Sally's beauty supply.

You should let your stylist know what is happenig before too much damage is done so he or she can rectify the problem.
