Morning everyone!

I'm thinking about trying Protac install versus sewing the wefts in  (i'm gonna propose this to my stylist)--

But i'm wondering, typically speaking, how long everyone is able to re-use the wefts when doing Protac install?   And again, the removal w/Protac is fairly easy?

Have a great day! Smile

Hi Miss Dharma!
Well, I am not a big expert w/ Protac since I have been wearing it for let's say 2 or three months now.
My personal opinion compare to sew-in:
it's more discreet, flatter, more flexible too
You'll learn easily to put it on by yourself and put it out, which you can't really do with sew-in
You can re-use the weft for as long as the hair you're using looks good, so it depends more of the quality of the hair you picked
The removal part is the part I don't like personally, but because I have worn fusion strands, I know that it takes MUCH less time to remove the tape.
It's NOT damging at all, feels extremely safe for your own hair when you remove the tapes and it's very quick too.
What I don't like personally is removing the tape of the wefts, sometimes it's very very easy, 1 second and it's gone, sometimes it takes a few minutes and you hands get a little sticky in the process!
I hope I helped you a little! It's a great method, the best to me, I encourage to try it!

Hi DT! I've never had a weft come apart or become damaged inside Protac tape so basically if the hair itself is good enough for another install, you can reuse.

Removal is extremely DIY friendly. There's a number of ways people are removing; acetone, conditioners, citrus remover, olive oil. It'll be a matter of what works best for you.

I have to agree with the other ladies.. Well constructed wefts will not be affected by using ProTac for your install, and will stand up to all wefted install methods (bonding, or sew-in)

ditto...so long as the hair quality is good you can continue to re use it. Ive never had a weft damaged from protac. The protac is one of the easiest removals Ive ever done.
