Hi there --

I have seen some snippets of this on previous posts, but unfortunately i'm still a little curious as what to do:

For all you ultra lite bleached out gals, what DO you do when your regrowth comes in??  I have wefts & my hair is ultra-lite -- prob a 613 -- i dont really want to darken the wefts at the top, tho --

Any tricks to help lessen the noticeable line of the weft?

And for Ms. Sherrie, if you happen to be reading this, why did you use the Liquid Gold for install at the top?  (refering to your most recent pics ---)  is that cause it's less noticeable at the crown?

Thanks everyone!Star

I redo mine every 5-6 weeks or so. I usually push it longer than I should. And my roots are pretty noticeable by this time.I retouch my roots when I takedown my extensions. I dont like dying or bleaching with extensions in. IMO its a disaster waiting to happen. Ive known people that do it successfully for a long period of time and then just one slip up and not getting the beach/dye rinsed out of the bonds well and they end up with short broken hair. So, I dont suggest or recommend dying bleaching roots with extensions in...just my opinion. And you know what they say about opinionsLOL

I use LG on the short side pieces on the top/sides because the protac doesnt hold well in this area. My hair is finer in that area, and these short pieces dont hold as well with protac and I have to redo them too frequently.

You may want to try the LG and the 'sandwich' method. Especially in the crown area.  For us light blondes it makes the seam quite undetectable.

I have some pictures of the crown area done with this method if you would like to see it.

these arent the best pictures. Back when I done this demo on LG I had uploaded all of the pictures to a forum that is no longer in existance, and for some reason I deleted the pictures from my computer. But I still had a few old pictures saved that werent so good. So please excuse the poor quality.

Thanks Sherrie!

I was just looking at your older archived posts & i must tell you that i think your 'naked hair' looks pretty damn good, tho-- BUT...i totally understand feeling better w/the extensions in--- i dont know...there's something VERY enticing about that extra length-- it just makes a gal feel like a super-hottie or something!  Big%20smile

BUT... i do have another question for you; ive seen you and others refere to doing a 'horsehoe' in the crown -- what exactly does that mean? ---  Is that for extra oompf on top?

horseshoe....is that area at the top. The crown that is left out. Usually you have the top rows of extensions that go from temple to temple (if you looked down from the top it would be a U shape) so thats where the term horseshoe comes in
