Unfortunately I got a little too impulsive concerning my hair and I colored it too many times --- and I didn`t wait at least three months after coloring before coloring again. I was coloring about every four to six weeks. Well things reached the point to where suddenly my hair no longer had any texture. No longer would it hold a curl. No longer would mousses and spray gels be effective in giving it body, no longer would hairspray hold it. I have tried about 20 different brands of hairspray and none of them will hold the curl and the style. I have even gone as far as to go and buy the "geriatric" hairspray that the "wash and set" ladies use, Aqua Net, in the strongest hold possible. I have tried about thirty different brands of shampoos and conditioners as well as about 30 different and gels and mousses and styling creams and deep conditioners and I could go on and on. Nothing I do seems to give it back some texture so it will stand up and hold a curl and actually be hair again. I mean, it doesn`t even react to hairspray -- that is how bad the situation is. You see, no matter how much hairspray I put on and no matter what brand or strength I use, the style and the curls will have flopped down totally flat -- and when I say flat I mean as flat as hair can get -- and lifeless about ten minutes after hairspraying it. Well I was wondering if you have any suggestions on what could be done for my situation.

What texture is your hair? It sounds a lot like mine (baby-fine and stick-straight) and NOTHING makes it have any sort of body or texture. Have you tried getting a haircut? Sometimes that can make hair "bounce" back. I don`t know if your problem is the color though. That is supposed to give hair more body. I would visit a salon and just get a consultation. No need to spend more on products. That can really add up (believe me, I know).
