I believe I am currently a Goldwell level 4 and would like to be a Goldwell level 7.  From everything I have read and if I understand your site correctly, I should use bleach highlights on my hair and then use a toner with 30 volume - 6NP.  Do you agree with this.  I would like my hair to be a caramel color.  Please let me know what you think.  Thank you for all of your help

One more thing - my hair tends to pull red and that is what I am trying to avoid.

I made a horrible mistake. I have naturally really dark brown hair and I have dyed my hair before and never had a problem.Well I decided to dye my hair feria's ruby rush ( i have dyed my hair red before with great results) and I absolutely hate it! I was told by someone to get back to my natural color is to dye my hair ash brown. Has anyone heard this?

Hey there! Please let it fade a few weeks.  Red does fade quite quickly. If you want wash it in Tide (Just regular not bleach) a few times to encourage fading.

Good luck!

Alexia, you can post a new topic.Smile Just thought you might like to know, instead of posting in someone else's.
Feria are intense drastic colors which is why you hate so much. I would never use them again myself.
You could do what rebekah suggested by using tide or dishwashing liquid to fade,or try colorfix.
It is a little pricey (I paid 18 dollars for one bottle I only used one time) and you can order it online or get it at a beauty supply store (it's made by clairol)
It will most likely turn your hair orange, which is no reason to freak over,it simply means hair ready to be colored again with the color of your choice.
