Hey everyone! I am going on my senior trp in May. We are going to Flordia to the beach, a water park, and Walt Disney world`s Grad Night. I have culry hair, 3b, and some 4a in places. Normally I straighten my hair out, but our school did not schedule enough free time for me to do this. We will only go to our hotel twice, other than to sleep, during the 4 day trip. I don`t want to leave my hair curly because it is so dry and frizzes really easy. Nothing helps on it at all. Can anyone help my with a style? It would be greatly apprecitated.

You didn`t say how long your hair is. Can you just pull it back in a ponytail or in a bun? To me that would be the easiest for the beach and water park.

Hey, sorry about that. My hair isn`t too long. Most of it won`t even go into a ponytail, only like the top part. I thought of letting it grow from now till then, but I have been letting it grow from cheek length since this summer and it is only 3 inches longer straight and about 1 1/2 curly.

Wow, I can certainly understand your dilema. I have the same problem when I travel except my hair is fine and thin and has to be washed and styled as soon as I get up to look even half way decent.

Have you ever tried sleeping in some of those soft curlers? Your hair might be a bit curlier than normal but it could look rather pretty and at least then you probably wouldn`t have as much problem with frizz. It will be awfully humid at that time of year. The other thing I have noticed a lot of girls your age wearing is those triangular head scarves. I am not real fond of this look (I didn`t like it the first time around in the `70s either), however, it does make dealing with hair problems easier.

You certainly don`t want to make hair problems ruin your trip. Maybe you should visit your stylist to see if s/he can find a style for you that works with your curls. Believe me, that will make your life easier.

Thanks demodoll, maybe I do need to talk to my stylist. I just don`t want to look like crap when I am down there. Are you talking about sponge rollers? I have used them, they look nice in my hair, but there is too much shrinkage in the front. I have been used the large perm rods to help my curl out a little, and I get less frizz, but a whole lot of shrinkage. I have an afro with those. Thanks bunches though.
Has anyone seen Brandy, the singer, hair lately. I wonder if I put little braids and some fake hair in it if it would cut down on the frizz and look much more manageable? Anyone know?

I found this info on the Hair Bloopers board. There are apparently all sorts of rollers that are soft out there. Here are some suggestions: Sleepers Hair Curlers ( http://www.sleepershairrollers.com/ - http://www.sleepershairrollers.com/ ), they are soft, come in different sizes, and produce terrific results. A similar product is Wrap, Snap, & Go! They too are soft rollers and QVC sells them. If you want more of a spiral look, try the Sassy Curler (www.eurotweezer.com/sassy.html).

I had the little braids done in the Bahamas. They are really fun but be careful. They can really damage your hair. I read that that is why Faith Hill cut her hair short a few years ago. When she took out the braids, her hair was like straw and broke off.

Good luck. Just enjoy yourself and you will look beautiful no matter what.

Hey demo doll! You are like a godess! I have been wanting some of those things they advertise on tv, the snap and go, but I wasn`t sure the things at QVC were the same thing. My hair is really coarse and I have cornrows or twisties in most of the time any ways. They haven`t hurt my hair so far. I am thinking I might get the soft roller things and some fake hair and do the braid thing. I won`t do micro, to save my hair some stress. That and I won`t do it all over, just the noticable parts. Thanks for your help, you are a God send
