I tried installing yesterday and all the silicone kept slipping out of the links... has this happened to anyone else?

This happens to a few of mine when I install with tips that are too big, or rings that are too small.
Sounds like a manufactering problem if that many are coming out.
I get mine off Ebay, but they are X-Large sized.

Maybe the threader you are using is too big and pulling the silicone lining out?

Yeah, that sounds more likely.

Well from the tutorial I used, I put the stick hair into the microlink using my hands and not a threading tool. The silicone was fine when I was using the threading tool to put the link onto my hair. Maybe I am doing something wrong??

Yeah, I had this happen to a few, not all. Sometimes if the tip is too big, it will push the lining up and out. Also, if my threading tool (the little latch part) would get stuck on the lining, it would pop it out.

Try either getting bigger rings next time, or smaller tips, or even melting down and re-rolling the tips.
