I wonder if any of you Socap ladies can answer this question.  In Launchpad magazine, I saw an ad for Socap's Flat Ice machine, which is cold fusion (ultrasonic waves) that makes flat connections.

Has anyone used it?

I am going to take a Socap class after all the holiday chaos is over, and I'm looking forward to it.

If Im not mistaken , Flat Ice, is the newer version of the "ultrastar machine" however both are cold fusion machines.  I currently have the "ultrastar".  As far as I can tell there is no difference. But I could be wrong.
Hope this was helpfulTongue

So Envoy, do you like the Socap system?

I'm looking for the 'perfect' system, and believe me I've tried almost all the methods.  They all seem to have pros and cons. I'm looking for strand extensions that I can install easily on clients, they don't shed or fall out of the hair, and are not a pain to remove.

I do like the Socap system. If my clients are interested in a pre-tip method then I normally opt for Socap. For me the Socap bonds are a little more duarable then some of the other pre-tip hair (although I have not tried Great Lengths). And to date (knock on wood) I have not had any shedding issues).I do rings, shrinks, wefts etc, and generally I think fusion just lasts longer.

Now is Socap the perfect system? I dont know. Cold fusion requires you to create a flat bond versus a barrel bond so it takes me longer to do cold fusion, but I like the look and feel of flat bonds better then the barrel bonds. So I dont think installation is necessarily easier then other methods initially but you can get the hang of it quickly. Of course you can do regular thermal fusion and just roll them like any other pre-tip.Sometimes for micro bonds I roll them and its quicker.

Removal, to be honest feels the same to me as other methods. Spray some acetone and crunch.

Good luck with your class,Thumbs%20Up and when you do your first head with Socap let me know what you think, im curious as to what other Socap people think about the system.

hi
when i do soacp i use heat(not cold fusion) and the barrel method. imo it just looks better. your hair is round so barrels move easier- when you do flat baonds and try to tie them up they show more... just my opion though- but socap can be done ethier way
