I feel so out of touch lately! I don't know what's going on with me, but I've lost my groove!

So here's my issue...

First, the bohyme, I feel like I am not as in love with this hair as I should be. It is really soft, hasn't tangled, and the texture is nice, but it's so fine and thin! I installed 8 oz, and I have a horrible 'shroom head!! When I braid it, it's a tiny thin braid. Ugh. I feel like I installed a lot though. Anyone else have any feed back on this??

Just so I could get through the day without people laughing at me, I slipped some clip ins, and I loved the look, even though it's thin, it took away the 'shroom head, but they aren't FR, so I think the solution is to jut out somewhere on friday and buy some shorter bohyme to instally higher up, but I am annoyed, I have to buy ANOTHER pack??! Gross.

Then my other thing, is I had so many probs with pro-tacs lately. I did the install like I used to, and by the end of the night, 3 wefts had fallen out, I re-installed them, and they fell out again (the same wefts oddly) a few hours later! What is going on?? They are all slipping and lifting up today, and I just installed yesterday!

They always taught us with stone massage, if certain stones keep falling off the person's body when you put them there, that they aren't..."compatible" I guess you would say, and to just take them off. Maybe me and my hair extensions, aren't....compatible....any more.....

Any words of wisdom? Any thoughts on the bohyme? Is it jsut fine hair?

I can't help with the bohyme, but the protac may be slipping because of your fine hair.  I never could get it to stay in my hair.  I used to have to use shrinkies to hold in the wefts in addition to the protac, otherwise they would just slip right out.  I never did get protac to last for more than three weeks even with the shrinkies - it would just get all gummy and the glue would start breaking down.

Naked Eye I cant believe that 8 ounces would be too thin? The french refined is very full hair. I used 8 ounces + 2 partial individual wefts so about 8 & 3/4 - 9 ounces  (22 inch ) and I have more hair than I know what to do with. I dont think I would ever install this much french refined again, and you know Im a big hair queen! My braid is SUPER SUPER thick.

Are you sure its 8 ounces? What length and how many wefts did you install? There should be 8 pieces to an 18 inch pack and 6 pieces in a 22 inch pack. Have you washed the hair? The hair will have WAY more volume after washing.

As for the protac...Im not sure what is going on there. Maybe try LG in addition to the tape or LG alone, if you want to stick with a weft method

I have included  pictures of my braid (please excuse the sloppiness, I just took my hair down from a clip and did a quick braid for picture purposes.) And I pulled this braid tight.

8 ounces is lot of hair, even if it's at 22" length.

As far as the slipping, it could be due to the silicone coating they put on all the wefts these days.  I've complained about this a lot lately!

Sorry you're having trouble.  Before you reinstall, take a cotton ball and wipe the weft tops down with either acetone or 99% alcohol.  I think it helps some on removing the silicone.

Metalgirl. I have asked Bohyme REPEATEDLY and they swear their is NO silicone on their hair. Is it possible that whatever it is that you see/feel on the hair is some other type of residue/product left over from the processing of the hair? ( I only ask because I know you have said that you have seen/felt this on Bohyme hair before also) I have never noticed it, or experienced any problems, so I am curious.

Weird, that braid, DOES NOT look even close to mine!!! I will try to get a pic to show you, but that's what's upsetting, it's so thin!

I haven't washed it yet, so let's hope that helps. I know before i straightened it, it was big, but it was still thin, the wefts were really thin, I don't know...

I'll give it some time. I will have to take pics of the wefts though, the machine looked weird though...

Well, I am a little bit better...I straightened it last night, and was not happy, then just put it up at night, put it up for work all day, and finally took it down to braid it, and it's a little bit better.

Maybe right after flat ironing it it was too straight, now it has more texture and body and matches and is a little fuller. It's still not the size of your braid sherrie, it's slightly thinner than my tastes, I will still prob buy some more hair to install higher up, or even re-install.

And hopefully after the wash it will be better. I just felt bummed that I didn't love the hair like everyone else. I will give it some more time!

Oh and monsterita-- the weird thing is my hair is now pretty thick, it's just too short for my tastes, and I've never had problems in the past with it, it worked perfectly!

I am so confused, I just think I need to get some rest, I was probably doing something off or wrong and didn't even realize....

If I re-install, I will try wiping them down first, because I "sealed" a few wefts with latex glue, and those aren't slipping or having probs, so maybe it is something on the weft or some problem like that...

Who knows, thanks for your help everyone! I will post pics once I get these kinks worked out!!

i used bohyme french refined earlier this year, and that was some of my first attempts at protac and i got them to stay in just fine (and that was without even knowing much!)...and definately it was FULL hair, i only used a half of a pack (because i was still extension shy)...now i could easily use a full pack, but 8oz you SHOULD be looking like Chaka Khan with that fullness...i wanna see your pic Naked Eye!

Wow, ok, I must really be missing something. I wondered if I just got used to the feel of Wawa, because it was really thick and heavy!

Today I will prob wash and see, maybe when it's curly it will work. Then I will post pics!
