I removed my extensions and now my hair, which is chin length and layered, is awful! It is kinky and nothing has helped...I have washed and conditioned but it is still the same.  What is the best remedy? I need to get it colored next week...will that help?

please give us a little more info: what kind of install did you have? by 'kinky' do you mean 'broken' or 'dry' or 'frizzy' ? with nothing else to go on, i'd just say deep moisturizing conditioning treatments....sometimes i would slather it on, put on a shower cap, lay a towel over my pillow and sleep in it

I had a weave and yes my hair is now dry and frizzy. I have course hair and a bit wavy. I am going to color it and do a deep conditioner.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but like the other ladies who have responded I'm not exactly sure what the REAL issue is.. You say your hair is kinky, and you need to know what to do about it like kinky is a bad thing.. Lots of ladies have kinky hair, and kinky hair does not equate to "problem hair".. So like Nursie, I have to ask also what do you mean by "kinky"???

Also I am trying to figure out if you are saying that your hair is horrible due to extensions wear?? If so you need to tell us the method you used (we know it was a weave but sew-in, bonded, etc).. You should also tell us how you cared for your hair while wearing the extensions.. There just isn't enough information in your initial posts to give any meaningful advice..

Barring you providing any additional information, perhaps a deep conditioning is what you need..
