Ok, I think I might try this for the first time.

I did a search, but I can't find answers that I am looking for. I know a few on you here use it regularly and know the ins and outs of it, that's more what I'm looking for!

So I need to buy some and syringes, right?

So you put some on the weft, then put the weft in the hair, just like pro-tacs?

Do I still need to clarify everything really good before installing?

Should I still wait to wash for a few days? Or is it less time?

Any tricks or tips that would help??

TIA! I need all the help I can get right about now! And sorry everyone for posting 100 different topics! I feel like I am raping the message board here, but I am struggling like crazy right now to have long pretty hair!!

Not really. You can if you want but the brush applicator should work just fine.

Or, just lay the hair down on the Protac and brush a thin layer over the weft and/or right where the hair enters the weft. Allow to dry and then press the tape over the weft.

Do I still need to clarify everything really good before installing?

Your own hair? Yes. Absolutely. Sqeaky clean with no conditioner or product after the 'pooing. The extension hair? No. Metalgirl had a good suggestion to clean the weft area with alcohol to get the slippery coating off the hair before doing all the above. I have only had one type of hair completely fall from my Protac and it was Bohyme hand-tied so I think metal's suggestion is a good one. It would only take 5-10 minutes to do and it would probably be well worth the time.

Should I still wait to wash for a few days? Or is it less time?

After bonding tapes are put in, DEFINITELY wait at least 48 hours (MORE if you can) before the first wash. I like putting in on Wednesdays. I can work Thurs, Fri without having to wash and I can wear a hat if I want to on the weekends. By Sunday night, it's set real well for the first wash.

Any tricks or tips that would help??

I like to mix up Installaritas when I'm doing my hair. Corralejo Reposado and fresh limes are a must. YUM!

Oh wait. Was your question just for LG application? I jumped the gun here.

OK, disregard everything that doesn't apply and just get the tequila. ;)

I read that one, thanks sherrie, I think that is the way I am going to do it, it seems the most secure. I would have never thought of folding over the sides, that's smart, it's like a little christmas gift!

I'll let you guys know how everything goes!

I wash ALL hair I have before installing it.. This way I KNOW the hair is free from WHATEVER may be on it (whether it is or IS NOT silicone is somewhat irrelevant).. All of this hair does not come to you PERFECTLY clean.. Plus I like to know that it's clean to my standards of cleanliness..
