I didn't get any orange oil remover.. I just put thermofiber in with it and I can't deal with it at all. None of my irons will curl it, I had to razor the bejesus out of it and I just want it gone.
The Protac experience was good once I got the hang of it though.

Should I use acetone?

Bridget acetone will work for removal. Just pull them out gently but quickly once they loosen. If you leave them sit to long once the acetone has loosened the tape, they can get a little gooey.

Did you try curling the hair wet/damp? And then letting the curl cool in postition? ( Clip the curl until cool)

With the thermos Ive used, I have found that the key is heating and cooling in the SAME position. If you let the curl slide off the iron it will fall straight. I slide the curl off carefully without letting it uncurl and clip it. And they hair has to be quite damp.

Thanks Sherrie. I just got them all out. My poor nails, good thing I have an appt soon.

I couldn't curl the hair damp. I layered the heck out of it so parts of it were the length of my own hair.
I have no patience when it comes to my own hair. It's an omen.. I was going to skip the install and put dark brown, hot pink and red streaks in my hair.
Guess what I'm doing TOMORROW night?

LOL

I'm with you on thermo not curling.  I tried everything (except cooling it in curled position, thank you Sherrie) to no avail.  I'm thankful I installed only on the bottom.  I just ordered the Bohyme WiiV Body Wave...hopefully that will be easier to curl.

I've also had no luck with curling thermo.  I'll stick to human hair.

I also much prefer human hair. I used the elite thermo and the wawa...I could get them to curl but they both got dry and matted within a week - the wawa was much worse than the elite, though.

You may have to pay a bit more for the human but its worth it, IMO.

I got my synth hair to curl last night!  It worked wonders.  I used the doclocs tutorial here:  http://www.doctoredlocks.com/store/demo/syn_curls/frames.htm

I don't know if it will work on thermofiber, bit it did wonders with the plastikhaar!
