Always loved her voice when she was a part of M People. In the early days she used to have really great long silky hair too. In the mid-nineties she cut it into a kind of curly plant pot style which was terrible. Now in the last year or two, it seems that she's grown it out.
With M People
After the chop
And grown out in the last 18 months or so

That last pic looks of hers, with her hair in an updo of curls, looks
good. That is a nice style on her. It is very elegant. I also like her
black dress.
.
She is a Black woman obviously. Women of African heritage usually look
better with curly hair, straight long hair looks fakey on them and
usually not as good. She definetly looks better in curly hair.
I am Caucasion, and I know some of my fellow Whites believe that Black
women should relax their hair and straighten it, that Caucasion looking
hair looks better on them. Even some Black people are brainwashed to
believe this, that if their hair doesn't look Caucasion, that it doesn't
look good.
I am not one of those White people. I believe Black women look better
with their natural nappy, curly hair. It suits them much better, plus
they don't have to destroy their hair and scalp with cancer causing
chemicals that are found in those horribly harsh chemicals that are
used to straighten and relax African-Americans hair. More Black women
are going natural with their hair. Good for them. Better for them to go
natural than have fakey looking hair and possibly getting ill from
those horrible chemicals that are used to straighten their hair.
Unless of course she is wearing a wig.

I know that some of my African-American girlfriends have cut off their
relaxed processed hair into short natural hair and love wearing their
hair that way, and they look good, very attractive and very feminine, in their cute, short afro
hairstyles.

I sort of assumed she was a short haired lady. So many Black women of
African heritage are, and of course in Africa itself, many of the women
have shaved heads or short hair and wear headscarves.
One of my best friends is an African-American woman, who's hair doesn't
grow that well, and she either shaves her head or wears a short afro.
When she wants long hair she wears a wig or a headscarf. She is a very
feminine, pretty, petite woman, and she looks good in
very short hair.
Her husband likes her in very short hair, which is good.
Heather looks like a very classy lady, and a beautiful lady. She sure dresses well, she has some beautiful dresses.

So DivineDiva, you are a hairstylist in London? What fun!
I'm in NewYork City, and we have some wonderful beauty salons here, as I know you do in London.
Do you do many celebrities hair? Are you in some fashionable
neighborhood in London, like the West End area or what have you? Where
do you live in London?

Ladies please understand this and pass it on. Black hair grows at the same rate as white hair. SOME,not all black women have over processed their hair just as some white women have. Our hair grows long and beautiful just like a white woman's hair does. Please don't assume that when you see a black woman with long hair that it is some sort of hair extension. All of us do not have the same texture of hair. SOME, not all black women have very curly hair which is also referred to as nappy or kinky which are fine terms too.
Our hair no matter which texture is beautiful and manageable. We just don't have as many companies spending millions of dollars researching ways to make our hair managable as you do.
