I am new to color, but am thinking about either going blonde or a
darker brunette shade. The thing is, I am a little scared about the
process. I am worried partly because one time I was watching america's
next top model and one of the girls was shaking because her hair color
hurt. Should I be worried? What should i expect? Will
it really hurt?

hair color should NOT hurt, but some people do have very sensitive scalps and allergies...if you are doing it at home, that's why the packet recommends a patch test, to see if you are sensitive/allergic.....if you go to a pro, they should be watching you, and you need to speak up if it begins burning!
