I got a blowout + flat iron and what I learned from her is that it is best to use a nozzle attachment to concentrate warm air and paddle brush to gently hold the hair taut as you dry. I recreated this with 4 in of ng at home and it worked like a charm

You know i have been thinking about trying to do a dominican blowout (rollset + blowdry) and see how it turns out...I was suprised that my ng got so straight guess it not only the tools but the technique that makes a difference

I've been wanting to try this too black honey. I've gone as far as learning to roller set my own hair and purchasing a dome dryer, but the dominicas use a round brush to straighten the new grow and I'm not sure I can do this without tangling my hair in those brittles. Did it take you a while to get it right?

Wait, this sounds good. What is this? Is this something for ladies with natural hair? Because i have been trying to figure out a way not to have to get a perm every two weeks. Does it get as straight as a relaxer or at least close to one? And does it work on short hair (my hair is about to my chin)? Ladyflash, your hair is gorgeous!

Welcome to the board [IMG]smileys/smiley1.gif" align="middle" /> I had a couple inches of new growth around that time and it did straighten it out very well before I even flat ironed it. Yes it should still work with your hair length just make sure to work in with small-medium sections.
