Ladies,

Has any of you seen dreadlock extensions with fusion?
I tried once with one, but does anyone have an idea on how to hide the glue? Because dreads are quite thick it would require a big blob of glue right?
Any ideas?

Thanks!

Nope...I'd think that would put a lot of tension?
I think there are wide rings available...can't remeber where though?

I was wondering the other day if you couldn't just lay them out in protac strips and apply over cornrows?

Moffpoff has done a lot of experimenting with this. Try doing a search.

doing them with fusion would not only be unneccesarily damaging an heavy but it would also take ages as well...
i do ddread extensions.. i make fake dreads and them apply them using braiding,, its really easy to put them in but making them takes a bit of practise :) you need a LOT of patience, a steamer, and a lot of kanekalon hair lol..
I've been making them for 6 years so i consider myself an 'expert' in dreads haha :D

Thanks girls. The thing is that with the braided ones you see the braid... .
I'm seriously thinking of getting permanent dreads, but of course they'd have to be long and gorgeous.
I had them before but shaved everything off when I got pregnant

Kateadreenna, what gives more volume - thick or thin ones?
And when you make them can they look super real?

Well thicker ones would be bigger but not as full - im a fan of thinner dreads myself.. I wear them temporarily but there IS a way of creating permenant uman hair dreads.. What you do is basically dread your own hair as normal, buy some cheep human hair, dread sections of the human hair, and then with thread the same colour you sew the end of your natural hair and the fake bit together, letting all the ends intertwind and they will lock up so that when you remove the thread you cant tell its not your own hair..
you can also latch hook it together much like felting, pulling tiny hairs through and wrapping it all together..
here is a site which will tell you everything you cold need to know

Thanks kateadreena, that site was bookmarked by me ages ago LOL...isn't it great how that girl does it?
Question is: where do I get cheap human hair? Should I perhaps get the stuff that doesn't have the cuticles aligned?

I'd like to just buy ready made dreads, but not those neat looking synthetic ones, know what i mean? They have to look real!
