What in the world was she thinking????I usually hate most of her looks, but she's outdone herself with this travesty(imo, of course).
Last week....

That is Selma on the right. That other girl on the left is Rachel McAdams, who too may have gone to a drunk stylist.

Selma is one of the girls who looks good short or long (and okay in between). I'm definitely wondering what the heck inspired this look (he says as diplomatically as he can)... on the plus side, maybeit will lead to a return of the cute crop she had a while back.
McAdams, on the other hands, doesn't look too bad if it's just a color thing.

I'm not thrilled with this picture but count me in as thrilled that Selma went back to short hair. She wore it better than almost anyone in hollywood.
The pink looks like a frivolous, for fun thing that will be gone soon. It's ugly but I can appreciate it in that regard.
We're finally starting to see a break from the boring lack of diversity that celebs have had in recent years. Nelly Furtado, Rhianna, Selma Blair, Nicole PCD, it seems like every day another star is breaking a completely new look. That is great news IMO.

Rachel McAdams is a very pretty actress who has colored and styled her hair various ways. She certainly didn't need to go with that color if she was looking for attention. Here is a link to nearly 100 photos of her:

You didn't ask, but the same site has even more photos of the formerly lovely haired Selma Blair:

Several cute short cuts of Selma in the site provided by Kramer. The current cut, at least in that pic provided is, umm, unusual.

Ok this makes it look like a half long to half short cut. I guess it's sort of best of both worlds. LOL.

from people.com
What compelled actress Selma Blair to crop off her bellybutton-length hair? "I was ready for a change," she tells PEOPLE. "I think I’ve been trying so long to fit in to the long-hair girl kind of Hollywood thing and it's just not me." The newly single star (whose http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,1564637,00.html - divorce from Ahmet Zappa was recently finalized) went for the asymmetrical look on a whim. "It reminds me of the silly haircuts I had in 7th grade that made me happy," explains Blair who was out to support her Hellboy I and II director, Guillermo Del Toro's newest wonder Pan’s Labyrinth, "and maybe a little bit of Linda Evangelista from the '80s. The same guy that cut my hair — Garren — cut hers." The sharp style is already gathering a mix of reactions. "When I drove up here tonight, a [valet] guy asked, 'Sorry, sir, can I have your keys?' I was like, 'I'm a girl!' That was funny," laughs Blair.

Whilst it might be the best style she's ever had, its certainly has a certain edge to it. Plus she seems completely happy and confident with her new funky look, which always helps.
The more pictures I've seen the more I come to like it.

I'm not one to tell other people what to do with their hair (though isn't that what this board is half about?), but... I've liked other looks she's had better. For some reason finding out that she did this on purpose, rather than for a movie, makes it a little worse. I mean, still her decision and all, but... yikes.

More pictures on WireImage today. You can see that her nape has been buzzed also.

Looks like she didn't have the time to sit through an entire haircut to me.

She can actually pull it off. Looks terrible in the first post but in other pictures looks good. The really long parts need to be trimmed up a little. She looks good with short hair. Kind of bold compared to what's been out there.

Lets put this in perspective. Actress that hasn't been discussed in years and is falling off the radar goes through a divorce with a celebrity husband and suddenly we're talking about her again. From that perspective good thing.
I like the move a lot based on her comments. Have fun with your looks and be a little crazy once in a while. In a month she'll be back to the hot pixie, maybe play around with color, whatever. I just like that she's adventurous. She's right, the long haired hollywood beauty thing never suited her although she came closest to pulling it off just before getting this cut. I thought she was looking pretty good.

Maybe she's doing a movie or something and needed a punkish look. I agree she has a very pretty face,I'm just not sure about the shaved sides.

Hey, Selma can have all the "fun" she wants with her hair. There is now law against getting ridiculous looking haircuts, nor should there be. No one ever stopped Dennis Rodman! And, I believe that Dennis is available, though maybe not interested in Selma. Best, Bob
