The best way to achieve the look you want is to start by using a moisturizing shampoo & conditioner. I recommend Frederik Fekkai glossing shampoo & conditioner. Blowdry your hair using a round brush, then go over it with the ceramic iron. While using the ceramic iron I would recommend that you use a serum of some sort. It will provide some protection against the high heat and it will give you lots of shine and won't weigh your hair down. I would recommend Kiehl's silk groom serum.
I hope this helps.

Definitely a Maxiglide flat iron.  I have results from it in my fotki.  My hair was pin striaght.

Your flat iron will do the trick! Just make sure you are protecting your hair by washing and conditioning properly. Use a heat protectant. After I've finished flat ironing my hair I will put a light coat of Wild Growth Oil to create that sheen that the girls in those pictures have.
