What is the difference between a "polymer" bond and a keratin bond?  I have seen the poly bonds at http://www.haircompounds.com - www.haircompounds.com and on Ebay.  Is this just another name for keratin?

No, polymer is a glue made from either resins or plastics. Keratin is a protein tip.
