I have naturally dark blonde hair with some natural lighter blonde hiarlights. I would like to try a medium auburn shade, but want it to be only for a couple of weeks to make sure I`ll like it. Is there any color that will let me do this and that isn`t damaging? Most of the semipermanent colors in the store look too bright red on blonde hair.

i would look for not a SEMIpermanent (24 shampoos or whatever), but one that doesnt last as long as that. I`ve found that if I use semipermanent dye, it stains my hair into a weird version of the color I dyed it (even after all the dye is gone, my hair still glows a reddy color) This is only MY experience, so if others (professionals) say differently, by all means listne carefully. But I`ve dont this twice, once on my own dark blonde hair a year ago and recently on my bleadched/back to light brown HIGHLY damaged hair. At any rate, the auburn shade I chose was MUCH brighter than I`d expected, but after I washed it a few times, it toned down to a really pretty color. (Of course, after a month instead of having light brown hair, i hav light-reddish brown hair... not BAD, but still, it`s something to consider. Wow, I just rambled :-) Wishing you luck with your new color!
