Did I spell that wrong? Sorry if I did, but I was just wondering, what exactly is it? I'm assuming it's a name of a fiber, but I'm not really sure.

I always see the big packets of it and it's usually kinky and frizzy, so I have a bad impression of it...

Yeah, just wondering if anyone could clear this up for me, thanks!

Hi There, yes its a fibre hair best used for braids or dreads not left loose, i find its the best hair to use for braids as its not shiny or waxy so wont slip out.

i found this site, which lists kanekalon fiber under the category of 'modacrylics':

Kanekalon is mostly used in wigs also. Most of the wigs I have are made of Kanekalon and they wear very well. The hair is shiny but not "Barbie" shiny and whatever curl it has springs right back after washing. I would not use Kanekalon for extensions tho, except for dreads. A wig you wear and take off and wash once per week, extensions you sleep in and wash more often and Kanekalon dosnt do well under that kind of stress.
