I was using Philip Kingsley Elasterciser for just over a month and instead of the promises the jar made all it's done is dry my hair out-alotAngry
I need something super moisturising to get my hair back to rights what do you recommendStar

Hi Nastasska,

The best product i have ever tried for dry hair is Aussie 3 Minute Miracal deep conditioner. I am sure you should be able to get Aussie products in Aussie!

Good Luck :)

Hey Nastasska, what sort of ingredients are in that product? Your hair could be dry from buildup, which will only go away if you clarify.

Wow no connection at all!

I wonder if it is one of those crazy marketing schemes again?!

Let me know how it goes :)

Hi Nastasska!

I agree with AmandaPanda... you need to get rid of whatever that product deposited on your hair.  What are the top ingredients in it?  Lots of -cones, perhaps?  (And how does your hair like -cones?).  Just guessing based on the name (elasticizer!), it sounds rather horrid...

yeah, it sounds like the product has made everything worse!

I've got really dry hair too (damaged bleached and blowdried ends) so I have gone away from shampooing altogether. I "wash" with water or conditioner, but my ends are still super dry, so every week or so I also do a "Snowy's Moisture Treatment" (from LHC - 1 part deep conditioner, 1/3 part honey, 1/3 part PURE aloe vera) or an oiling. This seems to help, but I also just cut off 1/2 inch - where my hair has been bleached and re-bleached, there didn't seem to be any hope.

I would not trust any product that says it can moisturize your hair...most are way overpriced. Oils from your kitchen (yes, those!) do a lot better...

This is what I used

http://www.ukhairdressers.com/store/details.asp?ID=PKElastisizer - http://www.ukhairdressers.com/store/details.asp?ID=PKElastisizer

It has Amodimethicone listed near the bottom. It is heavy on protein which I think is what caused the problem

I never thought to clarifyEmbarrassed

Ah, so it's a protein reconstructor.  It's easy to overdose on those.  I use such a conditioner about once every 2 months.  Years ago, when I used one every time I washed my hair, I quickly got crunchy hair.

Aussie... yep, pure marketing.  We Americans must be terribly impressed with the hair of Australians.  Either that, or the kangaroo outline on the package helps us dream of an Australian vacation.  Or it's just so cute, we wanna have one (without having to care for an actual wild animal).LOL

That's a funny thought. *chuckling*  For me, it was the long list of plant extracts in the ingredients, and not so many chemicals.  I used it for years until they started putting -cones in them.
