This may sound crazy but it works! If its a new wave cap, stretch it out so it won't be so tight on ya head but if its an older one then roll the edges up so it will cling to your head better. Plus you should spray your du rag with water b4 you put the wave cap on so your waves will be lookin crisp when you take it off. but don't tgake the durag off 'til it dry or else your hair won't lay down as long.
PS: Don't go outside wearing it like this...you'll look crazy lol. what you can do is tie the du rag like you'd usually do but looser than nomal. then put the wave cap on top of it

What I do is put an untied durag on my head with a stocking cap over it. Just let the two long strings hang and let the flap in the back do the same with the wave cap on the top covering your ears. This allows it to cover your hair line in the back so that you don't get left w/ a gap in your hair. as a matter of fact it pretty much helped me get waves down to my hair line in the back. Another advantage is that its much more comfortable than wearin a du rag. Replies:

Well, first off wave caps leave a deep line on my 4head but when i put the du rag on under it, the line tends to barely show or even not at all (just make sure you stretch it out a little. secondly, when i wear a wave cap alone and am taking it off, my hair raises up a little but w/ a du rag under it my hair lays flat regardless. Yes the wavecap durag combo is killin it. But 1 prolem I get, when I pull the wavecap over my ears it kinda tite n uncomfortable. But it was much tighter and layed my hair down better, farther down my hairline and closer to the temples, and the durag kept the wavecap from messing ish up, this has gotta go in the wave text books haha ------------- http://myspace.com/christianh http://img410.imageshack.us/my.php?image=waves1.jpg">

Ya'll probably move a lot in your sleep. I don't move much so i don't have problems w/ that. When you put the wave cap on, roll the edges up so it'll be a little tighter on your head. lol @crack. but yea; when i got a cut a while ago it was lookin real fresh. some people get their back tapered but if you do this while wolfing, you'll have waves down to your hairline when you get a cut. No problem cash...just showing luv....yeah man ya method is on point...I did everything u posted and everything is perfect so far...I get a taper though..but my waves started forming more on my hairline since using ya method....I've been getting tapers for 4yrs now I tried an all even but I felt different lol....also what products do you use?and brushes? I usually use water and carrot creme but since my i'm on week 5 and my hair's getting longer, i'm starting to use pink lotion (it makes my hair feel softer) and when i'm going out or not wearing a fitted cap i'll use Lets Jam for the hold and shine. but i usually use a medium brush and top it off with a softy. or if i'm using the h20 meth or gettin out of the shower i'll just use a softy ------------- http://www.picoodle.com/view.php?img=/3/12/8/f_sigma008m_7947f3e.jpg&srv=img37">

I started usin the du rag & cap meth relentlessly in December. and my hair was straight in November until i started brushing on the 21st (when i joined this site). By the way, my pink lotion was half empty so i put a little water in it and shook it. That did 2 great things. its gonna last longer (lol) plus it made it more "spreadable" because when i used to apply it, it didn't spread across my head when i rubbed it in so i had to put in more. but w/ water it disperses easier. and it won't lower its potency if you only add a little water  ------------- http://www.picoodle.com/view.php?img=/3/12/8/f_sigma008m_7947f3e.jpg&srv=img37">

Yo king I made a modification 2 ya meth and it works even betta fam.....instead of using a regular stocking or stocking wave cap....I use the spandex stretch stocking cap...like the ones mase used 2 wear back in 98...it lays ya hair down even more and is wayyyy more comfortable...u need 2 get up on it.... ------------- TEAM BLACK SPINNAS.....I tell my barber make my cut extra fresh.....I got some hoes I'm checking out 2nite lol |

I got an even better way than that...instead of wearin a wave cap, just tape your durag to your head (scotch is more comfortable than duct tape plus it comes off easier). it s like MAGIC! Yea that's tru@ sir waves. and the great thing is that when you're wolfin, it helps your appearance. Usually when you take ur du rag off while wolfin, you hair is laid down and wavy but there's that shaggy part in the back or that deep line. By usin my meth continuously and brushin the hell out of your back, your hair will lay down and eventually wave up. I didn't want to post it because its stupid and pretty much a waste of time (Newbie mistake) but here it goes: I would put pomade in my hair, cover it w/ a du rag, then press on the dippin spots between my waves with my fingernail. Since pomade is like wax i figured that i could mold the waves. lol I'm not sure if it really worked but i wanted it to so bad that started believing that it did. i used to do this because when i first started i was to lazy to brush for more than 5 minutes.
